The Desert 5 Spot rooftop bar in Hollywood

Desert 5 Spot

Desert 5 Spot is an alluring rooftop lounge that has staked its claim in the center of Hollywood’s most busy, nightlife thoroughfare. In the era of the modern cowboy aesthetic, this bar fits right into the trend while bringing its own unique identity to scene. LA day trip destinations of Palm Springs, Joshua Tree and Pioneertown act as inspiration with kitschy, desert décor lending a vacation-like vibe to the space. Live bands play Americana music while patrons dance and sip the pricey, albeit delicious, cocktails. This crown gem of Tommie Hollywood will impress no matter what you’re looking for. Don’t forget to bring your cowboy hat. 🤠

Desert 5 Spot Details:

🍔 Food:
There’s a taco man serving up unreasonably delicious tacos in the corner of the bar. He’s not always there but when he is, he thrives.

🍸 Drinks:
Tequila fans (and Dolly Parton fans) won’t regret the “Jolene.” Spring for the “Make it a Cactus!” to well, make it a cactus, and enjoy a 10 person-batch of Desert 5 Spot’s signature margarita from a cactus-shaped jug.

🎶 Music:
One of the few places to catch live music daily. You’ll hear classic rock, Americana, and country. Aside from a live band, they’ve also got a jukebox and a DJ comes in on weekends.

Very cool, very approachable and the right mix of vintage and modern. Can get loud in the indoor lounge but the patio is the perfect set up for enjoying a warm night. Stop by on Wednesdays for free line dancing lessons if you want the full honky tonk experience.

📸 Photo Ops:
The Desert 5 Spot neon sign is a must. Also there’s a mechanical bull, so clearly that’s a necessity.
