In recent years, there’s been a boom of alt-booze that’s led to multiple brands rising to the top in offering something new. JuneShine has perfected hard kombucha (a fermented tea drink) and turned it into an essential beachside beverage. The JuneShine Santa Monica tasting room is one of the few of its kind, serving pints of “booch” to get you feeling wavy on the Westside. With a beachy design and lively regular events, this neighborhood gem is an essential visit for those looking to try something unique in Los Angeles.

JuneShine Santa Monica Details:
The food menu is limited with their specialty being empanadas. However they do allow outside food to be brought in which is a plus. (Would highly recommend dropping by Holy Guacamole a few doors down.)
All hard kombucha all the time. It’s a tasting room so there are plenty of options for different flavors. Order a half pint, pint or a flight of three tasters to get the full experience. The “Midnight Painkiller” is a crowd favorite. A few beer and wine options are also available upon request.
You’ll hear thoughtful playlists of sounds that don’t overpower the space. During free events, live DJs come in to take the party up a notch.
The easy, breezy ambiance makes it an ideal destination for day drinking. You’ll find natural tones throughout with a tropical, California coastal design. You can order right from the bar with a variety of first come, first served seating throughout the space. Events can be bustling and are worth the visit. Crowd is typical Santa Monica–lots of light wash denim and white tees.
