Moxy Downtown Los Angeles Details:
You have truly an endless amount of options for food thanks to the combined Moxy & AC Hotel dining outlets. Bar Moxy is great for a quick bite and Bluestone Lane is perfect for a coffee on the go. AC Bar & Lounge is great for enjoying a meal with a view, and La Lo La Rooftop is a lively escape for cocktails, bites, or brunch. Not to mention the restaurants inside of Level 8–Japanese restaurant Lucky Mizu, gourmet taco food truck The Brown Sheep, outdoor oyster bar Mother of Pearl, Japanese teppanyaki restaurant Maison Kasai, and elevated steak and seafood grill Qué Bárbaro. Needless to say, you’ll be well-fed with available cuisine from all around the world.
During our stay, we tried Lucky Mizu–a beautiful venue offering a menu of water-focused cooking like shabu-shabu and seiro-mushi, as well as a variety of fresh seafood dishes. They serve a selection of high quality meats like the delectable A5 Kobe which melts in your mouth. And you can’t go wrong with sashimi either, like the deliciously fresh Yellowtail or Hokkaido Scallop. The innovative space has an inviting art-deco design mixed with traditional Japanese accents like cherry blossoms, maneki-neko cats, and a 40-foot playable harp that extends above the ceiling.

Each of the dining outlets has its own list of signature cocktails which makes for a conveniently walkable bar hop. You’ll find tropical concoctions and a panoramic view at La Lo La Rooftop. Golden Hour also has island-inspired creations to sip poolside with a sparkling carousel bar overhead. You can enjoy a whiskey drink during a sultry experience at jazz lounge Mr. Wanderlust, and a bit of Mezcal at the cathedral-inspired nightclub Sinners y Santos (you won’t want to miss their Mexican luchador performances).
Rooms at Moxy Downtown Los Angeles are perfect for those seeking a crisp, minimalist aesthetic with a touch of urban industrial flair. Layouts are compact, but utilize the space in creative ways. The shower and toilet are tucked away behind a sliding door and in lieu of a closet, clothing can be hung on hooks beneath the TV.
If you’re sharing the room, privacy is a bit limited due to some transparency to the bathroom door and minimal separation for getting dressed. However, solo travelers would likely find the space to be perfect for business or pleasure. Nevertheless, you won’t be able to argue with the breathtaking views that stretch out far across Los Angeles County. The wall-to-wall window backdrop makes the cozy setup worthwhile!

You can also find a talented pianist and cover band playing regularly at Mr. Wanderlust, and DJs playing top 40 and dance music at Sinners y Santos (which opens later in the night at 10pm).
The Moxy Downtown Los Angeles has the perfect mix of style, luxury, minimalism, and whimsy all rolled into one. Its location near the Convention Center means you’ll be staying alongside visitors who may be in town for business, while the bustling Level 8 draws in the city’s local partygoers.
The countless number of food and beverage options are unmatched for any hotel in LA, making it perfect for those who are looking to make the most of onsite amenities. A motorcycle-inspired theme brings a dash of edge to the branding while bold furnishings, eye-catching artwork, and stylistic layouts round out the impressive design.
