Record spinning just like the ones at Sunset & Vinyl in Hollywood

Sunset & Vinyl

Los Angeles loves a speakeasy, and Sunset & Vinyl is one of the best ones in the city. Enter through a back hallway behind 800 Degrees Pizza in Hollywood and climb the stairs to this clandestine watering hole. The vintage décor matches perfectly with the 1970s-tinged theme. Each night there’s a new featured record spinning or sometimes a local vinyl DJ is brought in to set the mood. If you’re looking for the perfect date night spot, or to just catch up with an old friend over cocktails, Sunset & Vinyl is the way to go.

Sunset & Vinyl Details:

🍔 Food:
The bar doesn’t have food, but of course you won’t go wrong grabbing a pizza from 800 Degrees downstairs.

🍸 Drinks:
They’ve got a selection of handcrafted cocktails that rotates periodically. The “Dance or Die” is a staple for Mezcal lovers, or try the “Pet Sounds” for a fruitier taste of rum and raspberry. There’s plenty of beer options too along with red and white wine.

🎶 Music:
Every time you walk into Sunset & Vinyl you’ll hear a different sound of nostalgia. The bartenders often pick a record to listen to all the way through. On busier nights, sometimes a vinyl DJ will come in with an upbeat playlist.

Ambiance:
Three words to describe this place: cozy, intimate, cool. The vibe feels like you’re having a listening party with friends in a grandparent’s attic. Warm-toned and moody vintage furnishings mix with a neighborhood bar atmosphere filled with down-to-earth patrons. It’s definitely not a “scene” but it’s the type of place that should be.

📸 Photo Ops:
No photo gimmicks here, but a shot in front of the venue’s record collection makes for a solid background.

😃 Happy Hour:
Come through for $5 well drinks from 7-8pm daily.
