WeHo’s LGBT hub for revelry. If you’re on the hunt for a place to mix and mingle with LGBT and queer partygoers in Los Angeles, The Abbey is a good place to start. This venue is pretty much the “intro to gay clubs” where you can find fun, sociable people ready to have a good time. The indoor/outdoor layout is perfect for day drinking, or stop by at night to hit the dancefloor surrounded by talented go-go dancers. There’s no shortage of excitement at this historic LGBTQ+ hot spot in West Hollywood. Expect a long line on weekends and don’t forget to hit up connected bar The Chapel at The Abbey next door.

The Abbey Details:
While nighttime is more of a club vibe, a full brunch menu is served all day. You’ll find everything from burgers to salads to pasta. The Garlic Rosemary Fries or Nachos are solid options to help combat the drunchies.
They have plenty of fun cocktails including a signature selection of martinis–their Wild Berry Martini is fan favorite. But once night hits, let’s be honest, you’ll probably just end up ordering a vodka Red Bull.
Live DJs play pop, hip hop, dance, and top 40 jams that keep the party moving every day of the week.
One word to describe The Abbey–energy. You’ll find music blasting, flashing lights and a vibrant crowd. Daytime is more laid back, but always a great place to go with a group of friends. The crowd is mostly gay men with a little of everyone else sprinkled in (including straight people). The stripper poles on stage mixed with an airy, open terrace creates a trademark environment where you’re bound to have a good time. It’s important to note however, the rampant pickpocketing issue in WeHo means you’ll need to keep a watchful eye on your phone and wallet.
📸 Photo Ops:
Forget selfies, at The Abbey you’re gonna want to get video of the glamorous drag queens and talented go-go dancers literally hanging from the ceiling.
😃 Happy Hour:
Join them for “Abbey Hour” Mon-Fri: 4pm-7pm. Select drinks are $9, beers are $7, and appetizers are $12. Not too shabbey… forgive the pun.
