This chic spot in Silver Lake is a great place to grab a drink and enjoy the sounds of live DJs playing disco and dance jams all night. The playfully Parisian theme at The Friend Bar is accented by pastel colors, bistro awnings, and bartenders donning striped shirts. Cocktails with quirky names offer surprising flavors while the smoking patio is an outdoor spot for congregating. By the end of the night, the casually trendy crowd warms up and hits the dancefloor. This inclusive spot is great destination to get you out of the house on a weekday on the Eastside.

The Friend Bar Details:
Food isn’t the focus, but they do have a small menu of Mexican bites like tacos, burritos and nachos.
Innovative cocktails have names like “The Hustler,” “The Lover,” and “The Basic Bitch”–basically one for each person in your friend group. There’s a solid selection of bottle and canned beer too. Also the natural wines are worth tasting.
You’ll hear lots of disco, dance, and indie hits from live DJs. Every once in a while a band will show up with some live entertainment.
Pink and teal colors anchor The Friend Bar in whimsical, French New Wave-esque nostalgia. You’ll find art by owner Andre Saraiva along with a pinball machine and disco ball overhead as an added touch. The vibe is casual and inviting with an artsy, Eastside crowd.
📸 Photo Ops:
Snap a pic in the pink and teal bistro chairs or with the iconic graffitied pinball machine. Or head outside to pose in front of the venue itself, probably the only bubblegum pink building on Hyperion.
😃 Happy Hour:
Possibly one of the best happy hours you’ll find in the area, it’s daily (including weekends!) from 7pm-9pm. $8 cocktails and even cheaper beer and wine? Say less.
